Aging often poses a number of challenges not only to older people, but also to their families and caregivers. In order to address the strains that caring for an older adult can often place on relationships, as well as the need for older adults to remain social, we’ve created the Adult Day Center. Adult Day Center provides adults with memory loss, dementia and Alzheimer’s with the opportunity to both socialize and participate in meaningful, enjoyable activities. Our professional staff creates a caring, safe, and stimulating environment, with a structured daily program that not only helps participants remain active in the community, but also offers respite to family and caregivers. The activities at SPOP’s Adult Day Center are designed to meet the social, cultural, recreational, and wellness needs of each participant. The staff includes certified social workers, a bilingual (English/Spanish) program aide, a registered nurse, and a psychiatrist.
