Service Program for Older People

Community-Based Mental Health Care

We work in partnership with senior centers, hospitals, and dozens of community-based organizations to make mental health care available to older New Yorkers.  Our program of Community-Based Mental Health Care is the recipient of the prestigious American Psychiatric Association Gold Award, and features:

  • home-based psychotherapy for clients who are homebound due to physical or psychological disability
  • clinic satellite offices located throughout Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn – click here to see where we are
  • a partnership with The Edie Windsor SAGE Center to provide therapy in an LGBT- & aging-friendly setting
  • specialized therapy at VISIONS/Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired at Selis Manor
  • outreach workshops at designated senior centers to de-stigmatize mental health
  • treatment in Spanish, Cantonese, and other languages
  • specialized therapy for disorders related to caregiver distress
  • partnerships with New-York Presbyterian and Mount Sinai Health System
