Service Program for Older People

Community-Based Behavioral Health Care

We work in partnership with senior centers, hospitals, and dozens of community-based organizations to make behavioral health care available to older New Yorkers.  Our program of Community-Based Behavioral Health Care is the recipient of the prestigious American Psychiatric Association Gold Award, and features:

  • home-based psychotherapy for clients who are homebound due to physical or psychiatric disability
  • clinic satellite locations throughout Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn
  • partnerships with The Edie Windsor SAGE Center and GRIOT Circle to provide therapy in an LGBT-supportive setting
  • specialized therapy at VISIONS/Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired at Selis Manor
  • outreach workshops at designated older adult centers in Manhattan to de-stigmatize behavioral health
  • treatment in Spanish and other languages
  • specialized therapy for disorders related to caregiver distress
  • partnerships with New-York Presbyterian and Mount Sinai Health System
